The National Kidney Registry A family friend who underwent dialysis and a kidney transplant many years ago said it best. "Dialysis keeps you alive, but it does you no favors." Having undergone kidney failure, eight months of dialysis, and a January 2009 transplant myself, I ask everyone who visits my site to consider giving others the precious gift of life.

I've had too many friends stricken with this disease. I can't say enough about the good these six sites do for the world. Consider signing up for a free daily reminder to support worthwhile causes just by clicking your mouse.

Sure, it's addicitive, but you're nourishing your mind while taking a bite out of workd hunger! Not a bad way to spend an hour.
