I can’t get enough of this fabulous blend of silk and merino wool! Silk & Ivory is my go-to fiber when I’m starting a new project, especially if I know it’s going to get heavy use. While Silk & Ivory is intended to be used "as is," Trio is composed of three obvious strands. It was designed for easier stitching on 18-mesh canvas; Silk & Ivory tends to "pack" 18-mesh. Trio stitched "as is" covers 10-mesh very well. I stitched French Knots on Santa's coat on a 14-mesh stocking in Trio 106 Blue Yonder. I fluffed it before stitching, just as you would floss. Although the stitch made me crazy, I achieved the 3-D effect I was shooting for.
